Description of Human Leptin Binding Domain
Leptin Binding Domain Human Recombinant also called Leptin Receptor produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 208 amino acids (428-635 a.a) and an additional Ala at N-terminus acids and having a molecular mass of 24.5 kDa.
Biological Activity
Biological Activity is evidenced by high affinity binding of mammalian leptins at 1:1 molar ratio.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Leptin Receptor in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized Leptin Receptor although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Leptin Receptor should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Amino Acid Sequence
The sequence of the first six N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Ile-Asp-Val-Asn-Ile.
